A beautiful antique solid oak coffee table showcasing traditional craftsmanship and historic character. Dating from the early to mid-19th century and estimated to be at least 170 years old, this exceptional piece features distinctive hand-carved harp legs connected by a solid stretcher and secured with traditional wooden beam pins.
The table is constructed from solid oak and displays clear evidence of traditional hand craftsmanship, including hand-cut, slightly irregular single dovetail joinery and original handmade iron drawer hardware. Two drawers run along the front of the table, each decorated with carved shell motifs and fitted with antique iron handles.
The generous oak top shows a rich natural grain and has developed a beautiful age-related patina over time, adding warmth and authenticity to the piece. The sculptural harp-shaped legs and carved stretcher give the table strong architectural character while maintaining practical everyday functionality.
This piece works beautifully as a coffee table, centre table or statement piece in traditional, rustic, country or heritage interiors.
